Step inside and enjoy a comfortable, welcoming space designed for both relaxation and convenience. The charming loft bedroom features a comfortable bed, while the private bathroom offers a spacious shower. The open-plan lounge and dining area provides a lovely space to unwind after a busy day, and the fully equipped kitchen gives you the freedom to prepare your own meals.

For guests who need to work during their stay, the cottage includes a dedicated workstation and Wi-Fi. When it is time to relax, step outside onto your private patio and enjoy a traditional South African braai in the peaceful garden surroundings.

Guests are also welcome to enjoy the swimming pool and jacuzzi, making it easy to slow down, relax and enjoy your stay.

A Few Things to Know During Your Stay

We’re delighted to welcome you to our little piece of paradise. The Thatched Cottage is a peaceful place to relax, unwind and enjoy some time away.

To help keep it beautiful and enjoyable for everyone, we kindly ask you to keep the following in mind:

Make Yourself at Home

Please enjoy the cottage and everything it has to offer. We simply ask that you treat our home with the same care and respect you would give your own.

Peace & Quiet

The cottage is intended to be a peaceful retreat, so we kindly ask that noise is kept to a minimum, especially between 11:00 pm and 7:00 am.

Parties and large gatherings are not permitted.

Guests & Visitors

For security and comfort, only registered guests may stay overnight. If you would like to have a visitor during your stay, please let us know beforehand.

A Smoke-Free Cottage

Smoking is not permitted inside the cottage. If you smoke outside, please dispose of cigarette butts safely and responsibly.

Our Thatched Roof

As beautiful as the thatch is, it requires a little extra care. Please do not use candles, incense or any other open flames inside the cottage.

Pool & Jacuzzi

Please enjoy the pool and jacuzzi responsibly and follow the safety guidelines provided.

Jacuzzi – things to know:

Guests must make prior arrangement to use the Jacuzzi as heating takes between 4 and 6 hours.
During the winter months, it will only be available on days when the outside temperature is above 12°C.
Use of the jacuzzi after 20h30 will incur a surcharge of R250, payable on arrival.
Quiet time is from 11pm. Jacuzzi operating times is 2pm to 11pm.
The Jacuzzi area is a strictly no noise, no music facility.
Please ensure the jacuzzi is switched off after use and overnight.
Use of the jacuzzi is at your own risk and should not be used during bad weather.

Enjoy the Braai

You are very welcome to enjoy a traditional South African braai. Please never leave a fire unattended and make sure it is completely extinguished when you are finished.

Security

Please lock the doors and windows whenever you leave the cottage and take care of the keys/remotes provided.

If you notice anything that needs attention, please let us know. We would much rather fix a small problem during your stay than have you worry about it.

Save Water & Energy

We appreciate your help in conserving water and electricity. Please switch off lights, fans, heaters and appliances when you are not using them.

Before You Leave

We don’t expect you to clean the cottage from top to bottom! We simply ask that you leave it reasonably tidy, switch off appliances and lights, close the windows and doors, and place rubbish in the designated bin.
