Escape Points are the heart and hustle of Guesthouse Exchange. Every time you host a fellow member, you earn Escape Points. Every time you need a getaway, you spend them. No cash, no invoices, no awkward math, just simple, exchange-worthy bliss. It’s our way of keeping travel fair and fabulous.
FREE starter points (free year bonus)
To kick off your journey, during your free year (valid 1 August 2026 up till 31 July 2027), we’ll gift you 10 Escape Points just for joining. Consider it your starter kit to begin exploring.
Earn by hosting.
Each time a verified member stays at your guesthouse, you rack up Escape Points. Your property’s comfort and charm turn empty nights into Escape Points you can spend.
How many Escape Points equal one night’s stay?
It depends on the Tier. Higher-end stays use more points, keeping everything fair and fabulous.
TIER 1 – Diamond Elite
1-2 guests: 8 Escape Points per night
3 guests: 10 Escape Points per night
Additional guests: +2 Escape Points each
TIER 2 – The Luxury Circle
1-2 guests: 5 Escape Points per night
3 guests: 7 Escape Points per night
Additional guests: +2 Escape Points each
TIER 3 – The Boutique Collection
1-2 guests: 3 Escape Points per night
3 guests: 4 Escape Points per night
Additional guests: +1 Escape Point each
TIER 4 – The Easy Escape
1-2 guests: 2 Escape Points per night
3 guests: 3 Escape Points per night
Additional guests: +1 Escape Point each

Got a friend who owns a guesthouse? Refer them! When they officially sign up and pay their one year membership, you earn 10 Escape Points.

Can I gift my Escape Points?
Absolutely! If you’ve earned them, they’re yours to enjoy or share. Treat a friend or surprise a family or staff member with a well-deserved break.
JUST A HEADS-UP: Escape Points cannot be exchanged or traded for cash. Members also cannot accept money from anyone to book a stay using their points. Exchanging stays is what we’re all about, not exchanging currency.
Do Escape Points ever expire?
Nope! Your Escape Points are yours to keep for as long as you decide to stay as our valued member of Guesthouse Exchange. Stack them up, save them, and plan those dream escapes whenever the travel bug bites (or the mountain calls).
At the end of your membership year, all Escape Points sitting in your account roll over beautifully into the next year upon successfully resubscribing – no losing out, no expiry drama.
Track everything in your Host Hub.
Your Host Hub is where the magic (and math) happens. It keeps your Escape Point life perfectly organised showing exactly how many Escape Points you’ve earned, spent or referred. You can see who staycationed with you, where you’ve escaped to, and your total available Escape Points balance you’ve got banked for your next Escape.
It’s simple, visual, and totally transparent with no confusing spreadsheets, no guessing games, just pure Guesthouse Exchange clarity.
What happens to my Escape Points if I cancel my membership?
Escape Points do not have a monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash. But why not just be clever and use them all before cancellation. You might well have a change of mind after some epic time away from the daily hustle of life. If this is not an option, you are welcome to gift them to a fellow Guesthouse Exchange member.
But lets be honest here, using your points sounds like a much better idea.
