Elephant, giraffe and zebra roam free on your private reserve, and dinner is served around the fire.
Longhill Reserve is a private 1,850-hectare wilderness reserve in the Eastern Cape. Malaria-free, uncrowded and owner-led. It’s about 27 km by road from Addo Elephant National Park, so you get the wildlife of the park and the privacy of your own reserve in one stay.
Stunning rooms:
Choose between our air-conditioned luxury lodges, ideal for families and groups, and our safari tents. Both have king size beds and hot tubs, and every stay includes free Wi-Fi, tea and coffee, and free private parking.
Special features
- Wildlife on the reserve: elephant, giraffe, zebra, buffalo, cheetah, antelope of all kinds and many more
- Guided game drives in our open game vehicles, through Longhill Reserve and into Addo Elephant National Park to see the famous elephant herds
- Cheetah conservation and experiences for nature lovers of all ages
- Catered meals in the bush boma, with nothing to cook or clean up
Unique areas:
Dine in our bush boma under the stars, gather around the fire pit at sunset, or cool off in the splash pool. Prefer to cook? Fire up a braai if you want one. The large communal tables are perfect for long dinners and games with family and friends.
Views and local attractions:
Watch the sun set over the hills with wildlife grazing nearby. Addo Elephant National Park is a short drive away, and Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) and its airport are roughly 40 km away. This makes Longhill an easy base for a safari that doesn’t feel like a tour bus.
Special touches:
Warm, hands-on hosts, expert local guides, and the kind of off-grid luxury that makes guests say they’re coming back. Families, couples and groups are all welcome.
