- Preference is given to short notice mid week stays.
- Due to being often fully booked in season, out of season bookings are preferable.
Tucked away in a milkwood garden, facing lush bush and mountain – this stylish coastal hideaway always has guests wishing they’d booked for longer stays. A short walk within the private nature estate finds the viewing deck overlooking all of Plettenberg Bay. Enjoy the unspoilt beauty of one of SA’s most pristine coastal beaches . Wake up to birdsong; take long beach walks; spot dolphins; braai & chill on the sunny patio, before spectacular sunsets give way to African stars. Live lekker
The space
Only 12km away from the popular beach town of Plettenberg Bay, Live Lekker offers an unique coastal stay within the Keurboomstrand, Garden Route area.
This wooden cabin has two en-suite bedrooms both opening onto a private sunny patio (surrounded by lush bush and birds). The King room (to the right) has a bath (& stand in bath shower), while the Queen room (to the left) has a shower (& sunken within baby bath). There is a small double-bunk children’s room (adult sized mattresses) with a guest toilet and basin opposite.
The main living space consists on an open plan lounge, dining room, kitchen area (with Smart TV with Netflix & Showmax), and sliding doors out onto a partly covered patio (with gas braai and Weber).
There is high quality wiFi and a fully equipped kitchen complete with coffee machine, dishwasher and use of large washing machine & tumble dryer (in the garage area).
Secure parking in garage.
Entering from the back, you’ll find a magical milkwood garden with rustic natural braai area.
Secluded communal swimming pool of the estate (and lapa barbeque area) is situated behind the house.
The driveway into the property ends with a double garage and private flatlet above where hosts stay. One of the undercover garage space and car port is made available for guests.
Ask me about yoga on the deck as I might be doing a short session that you can join. Or contact Lorraine for horseriding lessons/outrides opposite the estate.
Guest access
Guests will have the entire wooden cabin house (and front patio with undercover gas barbeque) entirely to themselves. You may bump into us as hosts when parking/entering or using the laundry machines – if we happen to be entering/exiting at the same time. The magical milkwood back garden with rustic barbeque is also for guests use.
Other things to note
Hosts live above the garage in a private flatlet (& we may be seen in the driveway area if arriving or leaving the property at the same time / when doing laundry. 🙂
Unfortunately as the estate is a private nature reserve there is a Strict No Pets policy which applies to guests/visitors (and is fineable by the council).
Guests have access to the one side of the garage (with secure remote door), as well as the laundry (both washing machine and tumble dryer) situated within the garage. (The garage and laundry within it may be shared by us as hosts from time to time).
The beach at the estate is private and can’t be accessed by the public. Making it ideal for a relaxing holiday far from the madding crowds. However, regular deep water swimming is not recommended as currents are often strong. (There is a blue flag beach 1,2km down the road / 20 minutes walk by beach).
During peak summer season there is often a lot more traffic on the Keurboomstrand road than usual (and car sounds tend to be amplified by the valley).
In some dry seasons, baboons move through the estate area (once per day) in search of food, making it important to close all windows and doors when not in the cabin and ensure that food is kept inside and out of sight.
