OVERVIEW

Vineyard Cottage at Goodluck Homestead

Off-grid eco cottage situated on a working regenerative farm in the heart of the Overberg, with panoramic views towards Walker Bay and the Kleinriviersberg mountains. Surrounded by fynbos and vineyards, this cottage has pure spring fed water, a wood fired hot tub, solar power so is not affected by load shedding. Guests are welcome to wander around the farm, swim and fish in the dams, and meander through the veggie gardens We regret no babies, children or pets are allowed for safety reasons.

The space This cottage was lovingly hand sculpted using local and natural materials, site harvested timber, clay, sand and straw and is perfect for a couple or a single persons getaway.

Guest access Guests may access the cottage through the farm or from a private road that leads to the back of the cottage

Other things to note Goodluck Homestead is a working farm using regenerative farming practices, therefor no toxic herbicides & pesticides are used, but please be aware there may be noise disturbances at certain times. We will endeavour to warn guests in advance of farming activities (spraying schedules & machinery usage etc) This can be at short notice as they are weather dependent.

The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, a fridge, tea and coffee facilities, cutlery and crockery and a dining area. Choose to relax in front of the fireplace, make use of the Wi-Fi, and the living room opens onto a covered patio with outdoor seating and a built-in braai area overlooking the vineyards and inviting hot tub. You are welcome to wander around the farm, swim and fish in the dams, and meander through the veggie gardens.

Booking cancellations - just so we're clear

Any booking cancelled within 5 days of the arrival date will not be eligible for a refund or token return. House rules and important info

No pets.

No children under 12.

Goodluck Homestead is a no smoking farm. If guests insist on smoking, they may not smoke inside the properties and must not dispose of their cigarette butts in the fireplaces or bins, these must be taken away with them when they leave.

No food waste to be put into the recycling & rubbish bins (containers are provided for food waste)

No noise is permitted after 10pm or before 8am

Check in is after 2pm & check out 10am, times may be flexible if arranged in advance

Guests are not permitted to bring their own pets. Service animals are allowed.

Hot tubs and swimming dams are used at the guests own risk. Children under 12 are to be supervised at all times.

Our animals are free range and therefore all gates and fencing should remain closed at all times, some are behind electric lines and netting so please be aware of the risk of electric shock. As we like to raise animals as close to their natural environment as possible, they are not always friendly and will be very protective of their young. Petting of baby animals is not advisable. We welcome all kinds of wildlife on the farm, so please be aware when walking around. If you would like any critter removed from the house that you are not comfortable sharing with please let us know. Guests are not permitted to kill or injure any wildlife they encounter on the farm.

Whilst the owners and employees have taken every reasonable care to ensure the safety of our guests, visitors, contractors and clients, the owners and employees shall have no liability whatsoever for any loss or damage to any property of any person or personal injury or death of any person regardless of how such loss, injury or death arrises, including that arising from any negligence, gross negligent act or omission by the owner and or their employees.
